Finding Doctors & Midwivess

Are you looking for a Trisomy Friendly Doctor's ;in your area or are you a Doctor who would like to work with families with RARE trisomy abnormalities? Please contact: Fawna, mom to Philina 22 yrs (PT6p & Moya Moya Syndrome)  info@livingwithtrisomy.org Research Coordinator: Tracking Rare Incidence Syndromes (TRIS) project - We are currently enrolling all varieties of Trisomy 13 & 18, living & deceased, for the pilot phase.
To include your child's data and help update the medical literature please see: http://web.coehs.siu.edu/Grants/TRIS/
And to add a link for your Trisomy child's personal web page please see: http://www.livingwithtrisomy.org/

It can be difficult finding Physician's or Surgeons who are willing to work with our children once they hear the "RARE Trisomy" diagnosis. Some in the medical field feel it is not ethical to treat a child that they consider incompatible with life.

Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine - Why might a patient wish to be referred to a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist? Most women seek consultation from or care by a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist because they "at risk" and considering becoming pregnant or because they are pregnant and "high risk", "complicated", or otherwise worried about their pregnancy.
