Trace Lee Clark was born on May 26, 1997 with mosaic Trisomy 13. His problems
were mostly at birth and there was no prenatal dx so he qualified for ecmo as he
wasn’t breathing. He had problems with blood sugar and blood pressure. They of
course gave us no hope but we were persistent and he then graduated to a vent
then he got a ng tube and oxygen and was sent home.
He had OT and PT and
eventually sat, crawled, walked all independently. He finger fed and drank from
a sippy cup. He had kidney and gastro reflux for several years. He was never
back in the hospital until October of 2002 when he developed seizures. Started
out as blank staring and then progressed.
The seizures ultimately caused his
death March 17, 2003. He loved blues clues, barney, music, cheese and hot dogs.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and went to school everyday at a progressive
school. He taught us a lot, gave us tremendous happiness and is horribly missed.
I attended soft conf. in Pittsburg and then the whole family went to soft
conference in Disney. I'm here to help in any way I can so feel free to contact
me with any questions.
Hugs to you all,
