My son Rylan James Sutherland was born on 4/28/2008. I found in the
latter part of my 7th month that he would be born very sick and in
all likelihood we would never bring him home.
We did not do amnio
and so were not give a definitive diagnosis until after birth.
It is my belief that Rylan was born to be an angel. I was blessed
to carry full term and have 31 beautiful hours with him. He is loved
and remembered.
The pain of the loss is so small compared to the joy, pride and
mostly love that I feel for my son.
We lost Rylan 4/29/2008. His big sister, father and I cherish
every moment and still hold him in our hearts. Rylan was diagnosed
with a full trisomy 13.
